ELEVATE is a pioneering initiative led by EDEC, Christ University, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Police. Its mission is to Eradicate Lethal Exploitation Via Awareness, Transparency, and Enforcement, fostering a safer, well-informed student community.

 

On February 21, ELEVATE was officially launched with the esteemed presence of DGP Sarah Fatima and the Karnataka State Police, addressing an audience of approximately 300 students on Cyber Safety and Digital Awareness. This interactive session covered key topics such as cybercrime prevention, digital ethics, and online security, equipping students with essential knowledge to navigate the digital world safely.

 

The EDEC Business Expo was inaugurated by the DGP on Garden Street, marking the commencement of ELEVATE. Following this, an insightful session on Cyber Safety and Digital Awareness was held in the adjacent open ground, officially launching the initiative.

 

ELEVATE is designed to create a legally informed, drug-free student environment by promoting awareness and ethical financial practices. The initiative aims to:

 

• Expose the interconnected nature of drug trade and illicit financial activities.

• Bridge the gap between substance abuse awareness and financial crime prevention, including money laundering and illegal transactions.

• Encourage responsible decision-making and ethical financial conduct among students.

• More than just a campaign, ELEVATE embodies a deep commitment to student well-being and responsible citizenship, fostering a culture of informed awareness and proactive engagement.

• Creation of a student-led ELEVATE task force to sustain and amplify the initiative’s impact.
