The FoundHer workshop was an inspiring and insight-driven session focused on empowering young women to explore entrepreneurship with confidence and clarity. Featuring accomplished leaders Jayanti Bhattacharya, former Co-Founder of India Hemp & Co., and Madhurima Agarwal, Ex-MD at Microsoft for Startups, the session offered a candid look into the realities of building, scaling, and sustaining startups.
Through personal journeys and real-world examples, the speakers addressed critical themes such as gender disparity in venture capital funding, boardroom dynamics, risk-taking, and company culture. Jayanti Bhattacharya shared her transition from the corporate world to founding a Shark Tank–featured startup, highlighting challenges related to regulation, investor relations, and team trust. Madhurima Agarwal reflected on her entrepreneurial and corporate journey, offering valuable insights into leadership, hiring decisions, and how a founder’s role evolves as a startup scales.
The workshop encouraged students to think critically about entrepreneurship beyond ideas, focusing on execution, alignment of vision, and identifying key stakeholders early in the journey. Overall, FoundHer served as a powerful platform for dialogue on gender equity, leadership, and innovation, motivating participants to pursue entrepreneurship with resilience, purpose, and informed decision-making.
