Through curated experiences such as industry visits, ecosystem engagements, and practical exposure opportunities, EDEC Experience enables students to understand how businesses operate, make decisions, and adapt to real market dynamics. These interactions help students connect theory with practice while gaining clarity on professional expectations and workplace culture.

EDEC Experience aims to build confidence, perspective, and professional awareness among students. By placing learners in authentic business environments, the initiative encourages experiential learning, adaptability, and informed career thinking preparing participants to navigate future professional journeys with greater clarity and readiness.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) | Bidadi Plant 

Inside the World of Modern Manufacturing 

(August 29, 2025)

The visit to the Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages plant offered students an unprecedented look into one of India’s most advanced beverage manufacturing facilities. From the moment they stepped inside the production unit, students witnessed the precision, scale, and automation that power a global FMCG giant.The walkthrough showcased the complete production lifecycle—ingredient processing, automated filling lines, carbonation units, capping, labeling, and final packaging. The operations team explained how technology, stringent quality controls, and sustainability-focused processes work together to ensure efficiency at every stage.Students observed robotics-enabled workflows, high-speed conveyor systems, and real-time monitoring tools that keep the facility running seamlessly. What stood out most was HCCB’s commitment to responsible manufacturing—water stewardship, energy efficiency, and waste management practices that reflect the company’s sustainability values.This immersive exposure helped students connect theoretical concepts with real-world industrial operations, giving them a deeper appreciation for supply chain strategy, factory management, and process optimization.

Payana Vintage Car Museum 

A Journey Through Automotive Evolution Mysuru, Karnataka

Following the factory visit, students explored the Payana Vintage Car Museum, home to a remarkable collection of iconic automobiles. From classic European models to early Indian engineering marvels, each vehicle narrated a chapter of mechanical innovation and design evolution.The museum’s curators walked students through restoration processes, heritage preservation, and the craftsmanship behind early automotive engineering. This experience offered a cultural and historical dimension to the day—showcasing how industries evolve, adapt, and inspire future generations.For many students, the museum visit broadened their understanding of technological progress, design thinking, and the legacy of engineering excellence.

A Transformative Learning Experience

The HCCB industrial visit, paired with the museum tour, delivered a holistic learning experience—blending technology, operations, history, and innovation in a single day. Students returned with clearer perspectives on:

  • The scale and discipline behind global manufacturing

  • The importance of sustainability in modern industry

  • The evolution of industrial design and engineering

  • The value of experiential learning in shaping career choices

Titan Industrial Visit

(September 21, 2024)

The Titan Industrial Visit, held on September 21, 2024 at Titan Company Limited’s Hosur office in Tamil Nadu, was organised to provide students with an immersive exposure to precision engineering and manufacturing excellence. A group of 30 participants explored the end to end manufacturing process of one of India’s leading watchmakers, gaining firsthand insights into Titan’s innovative technologies, quality standards, and sustainability driven operations. The visit aimed to bridge classroom learning with real world industrial application through experiential exposure.

The visit began with an introductory session by Mr. Rajesh Sharma, who outlined Titan’s history, product portfolio, growth journey, and commitment to innovation and quality. Students then visited the precision engineering unit, observing the intricate machining of watch components and the high degree of accuracy required. This was followed by a tour of the assembly line, where a blend of manual craftsmanship and advanced automation highlighted the importance of precision, quality control, and human expertise. In the quality control department, students witnessed rigorous testing protocols including water resistance, scratch resistance, and durability checks, reflecting Titan’s commitment to responsible production and sustainability.

The visit concluded with an interactive Q and A session led by Mr. Akash Francis, Deputy Manager at Titan, where discussions covered career opportunities, innovation strategies, and future product lines. Overall, the industrial visit served as a strong bridge between theoretical learning and real world application, enhancing participants’ technical understanding, communication skills, and appreciation for sustainable manufacturing. The visit left a lasting impression, reinforcing the value of experiential learning in preparing students for industry engagement.

Akshayakalpa Farm Visit

(October 7, 2024)

The Business Society, EDEC, organized a one day rural expedition to Akshayakalpa Organic Farm, Tiptur, on October 7, 2024, with the objective of providing students hands on exposure to sustainable agricultural practices and organic dairy farming. The visit included 18 participants, comprising students and faculty members, and emphasized sustainability, environmental responsibility, community welfare, and experiential learning aligned with the university’s academic goals.

Participants were warmly welcomed at the farm and were guided by Mr. Rakeshan Narayan through an in depth exploration of organic farming practices. The tour covered key techniques such as crop rotation, soil health management, bee farming, and the cultivation of peppermint and mango ginger. A visit to the cowsheds offered valuable insights into milking techniques and cattle management practices essential for maintaining quality and sustainability in organic milk production. The learning experience was further enriched through an interactive session on sustainable agricultural and organic dairy farming practices, highlighting waste management through biogas production and efficient milk chilling processes.

Throughout the visit, students actively engaged in discussions, asked insightful questions, and shared observations, fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and practical understanding. The expedition strengthened the connection between theoretical knowledge and real world application, while encouraging awareness of environmentally responsible business and agricultural practices. The visit reflected EDEC’s commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire students to develop a holistic perspective on sustainability and responsible management.
