Career Insider ’25, held on 11th July 2025 at Christ University’s Main Auditorium, was a dynamic and insightful event that brought together leaders from entrepreneurship, family business, and the corporate world. With over a thousand students and faculty members in attendance, the event provided a rare blend of inspiration, industry knowledge, and actionable career guidance.

Three major sessions shaped the day, each led by distinguished speakers who offered powerful perspectives and real-world insight:

1. Family Business - Carrying the Legacy Forward.
Led by Ms. Nupur Goenka, Executive Director at Tally Solutions, this session explored the nuances of modernizing a legacy enterprise while staying rooted in foundational values. Ms. Goenka spoke about stewardship, innovation, and the discipline required to sustain and scale family-led organizations in a rapidly changing business landscape. Her clarity on long-term thinking and cultural continuity deeply resonated with students from legacy backgrounds.

2. Entrepreneurship - Building from the Ground Up.
This session featured Mr. Chandubhai Virani, Founder of Balaji Wafers, whose journey from running a small canteen to building one of India’s most influential FMCG brands captivated the audience. He shared stories of perseverance, customer-centricity, and the courage to scale from modest beginnings. His insights on risk-taking and sustaining trust offered a grounded yet powerful direction to aspiring entrepreneurs.

3. Corporate Panel - Inside the World of Big 4.
Senior leaders from the Big 4 consulting and audit firms led this session, breaking down career paths, recruitment expectations, and the skills required to thrive in global corporate environments. The discussion covered the rise of technology-led roles, the growing importance of analytical thinking, and how students can prepare strategically for high-demand corporate careers. It served as a practical roadmap for those considering consulting, finance, and corporate strategy roles.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A and networking segment, giving students the opportunity to directly engage with the speakers. Career Insider ’25 delivered a holistic view of business, entrepreneurship, and corporate pathways, establishing itself as one of EDEC’s most impactful industry-education initiatives.

Panel discussion held on August 22, 2024, at Christ University's Main Auditorium was a dynamic and insightful event focused on modern recruitment practices, HR strategies, and career development. Drawing over 1,000 attendees, including students, faculty, and industry professionals, the event provided valuable insights into the fast-evolving job market and practical tools for career advancement.​​
​Three major sessions followed, each offering unique insights from distinguished industry leaders:
1. Chaos to Clarity – HR Panel
Moderated by Mr. Gautam Parekh, Managing Director at EDEC, this panel examined HR’s transformation from a back-office function to a key strategic partner. Panelists, including Mrs. Sreesukhi Sudarshan from EY and Mr. Mohit Sharma from KPMG, shared how emerging technologies like AI are reshaping talent acquisition and employee development. Mrs. Sudarshan encouraged students to embrace risk-taking, while Mr. Sharma highlighted the importance of prioritizing depth over breadth in career development.

2. The Golden Legacy – Family Business
Led by Mr. Siddharth Mehta of Rajesh Exports, this session explored the unique dynamics of family-run businesses, focusing on succession planning and sustainability. Mr. Mehta emphasized the need for humility, hard work, and leadership by example. He debunked the myth that family businesses are fallback options, urging students to view entrepreneurship as a viable path to job creation.
In a fun and engaging moment, signed mugs by Mr. Mehta were given away in a live session, energizing the audience.
3. Navigating Tomorrow – Startup India
Mr. Ashok Chandavarkar, Vice President of Invest India, led this session, focusing on India’s thriving startup ecosystem, which has grown exponentially in recent years. He introduced the BHASKAR Initiative, a new platform to foster collaboration among startups. Mr. Chandavarkar discussed the importance of innovation and long-term planning, advising students to start shaping their career paths early and steadily work toward their goals.
The event concluded with a captivating live performance by Vishal Anand, an ex-Christite and contemporary pop musician from Bangalore, whose energy and talent left the audience with an unforgettable experience, blending intellectual insights with artistic expression.
